Big Brothers Big Sisters 'Chase the Cache' is a high tech treasure hunt with a twist!

Chase the Cache will take place on May 22nd with over 200 people expected to take part in the event which is the first of its kind in Australia.

Using the principles of geo-caching, Chase the Cache is a fast, interactive technology-based activity that has had wild success overseas.

Run twice already by the Big Brother Big Sister team in Canada, the event has been likened to The Amazing Race, but with the technology aspect this event is now arguable the coolest treasure hunt since Captain Jack Sparrow was around!

The 50 teams will use portable GPS units preloaded with coordinate information. Teams will only have two hours to locate the caches, which are small plastic boxes with points assigned to their discovery.

The team with the most points within the allocated time frame wins the event!

Chase the Cache is strictly limited to 50 teams of four people and is suitable for all ages, including corporate and family teams. The event takes place on May 22nd 2011 around the Melbourne Docklands area.
