'Target 20' Intersection Collections

'Target 20' attracted 50 volunteers who collected more than $20,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters and its mentoring services for young people.

'Target 20' was held on Saturday, 9th May, 2009. Despite the wet start to the day, volunteers and staff rattle their donation tins across 18 Melbourne metropolitan intersections. Most volunteers collected loose change from 9.00am til 1.00pm.

"This was the first time we had collected on such a large scale", said Big Brothers Big Sisters' Team Leader, Jessica Jones. "We are really pleased with the result."

The goal for 'Target 20' was to raise $20,000 and to raise the Big Brothers Big SIsters' profile across Melbourne's metropolitan region.

There are plans to undertake further intersection collections throughout the year. If you would like to help us with future intersection collections, perhaps even involve your friends and family, please contact Jessica on 9347 2655 or email jessica.jones@bbbs.org.au.
