Big Brothers Big Sisters have partnered with Randstad to pilot a new mentoring program 'Shaping Futures'.
Shaping Futures aims to provide young people with:
- clarity around career goals and education options available to them
- practical tools to assist in the transition from education to employment, and
- a positive and supportive friendship with a volunteer mentor who will assist and guide put tools into pracitice.
The program will incorporate monthly interactive workshops for young people, hosted by Randstad employee volunteers.
Following the skilling sessions, young people and Randstad volunteers will have the opportunity to be matched in a one to one mentoring relationship for a minimum of 6 months, supervised by Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Funded initially within Victoria, Randstad have the view to roll out a program nationally based on the success of the pilot.
